Hands-on Activities for Learning About Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

Like millions of other Americans the Macys Thanksgiving Parade will be on the tv in my house this coming Thursday morning. Similar to last year Macys is offering some.
hands-on STEAM lessons associated with the parade..

Parade 101 features 4 video demonstrations of hands-on activities that students can do at house with their parents or in your classroom. The 4 activities include pumping up balloons through the use of baking soda and vinegar, designing balloons for the parade, making and using sculping dough, and structure model drifts. All of the videos include lists of needed materials..
I like all 4 of the activities. If I was to recommend one for Thanksgiving day it would be constructing design drifts or creating due to the fact that they can be made with cardboard, paper, glue, markers, and other typical household products that dont make a mess and dont need to be performed in a kitchen. That stated, I believe one of the most fun one is the inflating balloons activity..
In addition to the videos and STEAM projects Parade 101 provides some printable coloring sheets and puzzles. An interactive timeline of the history of the parade is still available to consider as well..
