St. Helena Highs culinary class consists of 6 complete commercial cooking areas, and the instructor is Chef Karl Turner III. Originally, the trainees collected around the exterior of one kitchen to watch the expert chef prepare and plate the gourmet meals. Now, a NAV Pro AVoIP system ties 3 broadcast-quality 4K HDMI PTZ electronic cameras to the existing 55″ screens, as well as supplies material to the streaming system. An Extron NAV E 101 encoder installed with each electronic camera shares video from the chefs grill/range station and the 2 food preparation stations. A 4th cam and encoder are being installed for a heads-on view of the chef at work. The chefs PC and a TLP Pro 1225TG 12 ″ Tabletop TouchLink Pro Touchpanel are set up on a rack below one of the prep tables, safeguarding them from heat and splashes. The PC is linked to an Extron NAV E 201 D wallplate HDMI encoder. To support the PCs USB signals, an Extron MediaPort 200 HDMI and Audio to USB Scaling Bridge transforms USB to HDMI. The bridge boosts the computer-sourced content for the trainees participating in class from house.
