Citing Sources in Google Docs and Word Docs

At any time I write article or release videos about tools like these I get e-mails from readers who like to explain that bibliography tools make it “too simple” or that there is some discrepancy between the tool and the newest minor update to MLA or APA. My point in getting intermediate school and high school students to utilize these tools is to help them develop the habit of mentioning their sources. When they reach the point that they have a college professor who is a stickler for bibliography formats or theyre sending research papers to journals then they can stress over the minutia of the bibliography requirements of scholastic research study documents.

Last fall Google upgraded the citation tool that is developed into Google Docs. The present variation now lets you browse for books and online resources without having to leave Google Docs. In this brief video I show how to utilize the built-in citation tool to cite a website.
