Under the second format, which will take only 45 days to wind up, the CBSE has proposed that Class 12 students sit for the major subject examinations in their own schools (read self-centres), rather of designated centres. Apart from the reduced period of the examination, a Class 12 trainee will stand for one language and 3 optional (read major) subjects only.

Under the very first alternative, the nationwide board has recommended that evaluations for 19 significant topics be kept in the “existing format” and at designated examination centres– and marks for minor subjects be determined on efficiency in the significant subjects.
