Vernier Software Application & & Innovation is now accepting applications for the 2021 Vernier Engineering Award. The yearly award, with rewards valued at $5,500, recognizes one middle school, high school, or college educator from any STEM subject area for innovatively using Vernier items to teach engineering concepts or practices to trainees.

Vernier was established by a former physics instructor and utilizes teachers at all levels of the organization. With worldwide distribution to over 150 countries, Vernier information loggers are used by teachers and students from elementary school to university. Vernier technology-based solutions boost STEM education, increase knowing, build students crucial thinking skills, and support the science and engineering practices detailed in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Applications for the Vernier Engineering Award are due by February 15, 2021, and the winner will be announced on the Vernier website and Vernier social networks channels in March 2021. To go into, educators should complete an online application and produce a short video that briefly describes how they are utilizing Vernier items and what engineering ideas or practices are being taught utilizing them.

” We are devoted to supporting teachers in every method possible as they work to establish the next generation of scientists and engineers,” stated John Wheeler, CEO of Vernier Software & & Technology.” The Vernier Engineering Award is one method to recognize educators for their innovative use of data-collection innovation– whether it is being utilized in the class or from another location– in addition to share their best practices with others.”
