Vernier Software Application & & Innovation is now accepting applications for the 2021 Vernier Engineering Award. The yearly award, with prizes valued at $5,500, recognizes one middle school, high school, or college teacher from any STEM subject location for innovatively using Vernier products to teach engineering concepts or practices to students.

Applications will be evaluated by a panel of Vernier specialists based on innovation, the engineering ideas being taught, and the ease by which other teachers can use the job in their class. The winner will get $1,000 in money, $3,000 in Vernier products, and $1,500 towards expenses to go to an upcoming National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) STEM conference or an approaching American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference.

Applications for the Vernier Engineering Award are due by February 15, 2021, and the winner will be revealed on the Vernier site and Vernier social networks channels in March 2021. To get in, educators need to finish an online application and produce a short video that quickly explains how they are utilizing Vernier products and what engineering principles or practices are being taught utilizing them.
