Calling STEM Educators: Vernier Software & Technology Now Accepting Applications for its 2021 Engineering Award
Vernier was established by a previous physics teacher and employs teachers at all levels of the organization. With worldwide distribution to over 150 countries, Vernier data loggers are used by teachers and trainees from primary school to university. Vernier technology-based solutions enhance STEM education, increase learning, develop students important thinking abilities, and support the science and engineering practices detailed in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Applications will be judged by a panel of Vernier professionals based on innovation, the engineering concepts being taught, and the ease by which other teachers can use the project in their class. The winner will get $1,000 in money, $3,000 in Vernier items, and $1,500 towards costs to attend an upcoming National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) STEM conference or an upcoming American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference.
Vernier Software Application & & Innovation is now accepting applications for the 2021 Vernier Engineering Award. The yearly award, with rewards valued at $5,500, acknowledges one intermediate school, high school, or college teacher from any STEM discipline for innovatively using Vernier items to teach engineering concepts or practices to trainees.
