To get in, educators need to complete an online application and produce a brief video that quickly describes how they are utilizing Vernier products and what engineering principles or practices are being taught using them.
Vernier Software Application & & Innovation is now accepting applications for the 2021 Vernier Engineering Award. The yearly award, with rewards valued at $5,500, recognizes one intermediate school, high school, or college teacher from any STEM subject area for innovatively using Vernier products to teach engineering concepts or practices to students.
Applications will be evaluated by a panel of Vernier professionals based upon innovation, the engineering ideas being taught, and the ease by which other teachers can utilize the task in their class. The winner will get $1,000 in money, $3,000 in Vernier items, and $1,500 toward expenditures to go to an upcoming National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) STEM conference or an upcoming American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference.
