Calling STEM Educators: Vernier Software & Technology Now Accepting Applications for its 2021 Engineering Award
Vernier Software & & Innovation is now accepting applications for the 2021 Vernier Engineering Award. The yearly award, with rewards valued at $5,500, recognizes one middle school, high school, or college educator from any STEM discipline for innovatively utilizing Vernier products to teach engineering ideas or practices to students.
Applications will be judged by a panel of Vernier specialists based upon innovation, the engineering ideas being taught, and the ease by which other teachers can use the task in their classrooms. The winner will receive $1,000 in cash, $3,000 in Vernier items, and $1,500 toward expenses to participate in an upcoming National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) STEM conference or an upcoming American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference.
” We are dedicated to supporting teachers in every method possible as they work to establish the next generation of researchers and engineers,” stated John Wheeler, CEO of Vernier Software & & Technology.” The Vernier Engineering Award is one method to recognize educators for their innovative usage of data-collection technology– whether it is being utilized in the classroom or remotely– in addition to share their best practices with others.”
