Building classroom community in a digital space

As Im reviewing this past academic year, I think its the strongest bond Ive ever built with a group of students, thanks in part to technology and the neighborhood structure that had to initially happen in our virtual classroom. My goal for this short article is to share strategies and suggestions that worked well and assisted me grow and nurture that strong teacher to student relationship through a screen, in spite of the collective obstacles we faced.

One of my preferred parts of being a teacher is the sense of community that is created with each brand-new class of students.
