Chromes check tool provides a great way for students to see how the code of a webpage works. I frequently had my ninth grade coding trainees do that in 2015.

You can also utilize the examine tool to modify an article on the web to make it a satire story. Print the page and offer it to your students to try to identify the satire elements of the story.
