We’ve Got Worms! And More Questions from My Daughters

Earlier this week we had some fairly warm days and were able to do a little spring backyard work. My daughters like to attempt to assist with some of it. Like the majority of 4 and five year old kids, they rapidly get distracted. Such was the case when they discovered some worms under some leaves in our yard..

Among the worms my children discovered today was selected up by my 5 years of age who put it in pail. Her more youthful sis then called the worm Suzy. Now for the last couple of days theyve been including dirt, water, and grass into the bucket to take care of Suzy every morning and afternoon..
Suzy has actually been the inspiration for a lot of questions about worms this week. Ive had to attempt to explain answers to the following:.

What do worms eat?
Do worms have babies?
Do worms hibernate?

For a general summary of the answers to these concerns,.
SciShow Kids has a great video lesson about worms..
