IIT-Delhi, IIIT-Delhi collaborate to set-up India’s first medical cobotics centre

The programs would be at several levels (basic/advanced) and cohort-specific like urology, neurology, laparoscopy, and others however initially restricted to minimum invasive surgical treatments.

The training programs will be designed in assessment with leading doctors/experts, generally from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at New Delhi, Jodhpur, and other prestigious medical colleges.

The Technology Innovation Center (TIH) of Indian Institute of Innovation Delhi (IIT Delhi) and TIH of Indraprastha Institute of Info Technology Delhi (IIITD), signed an MoU on Wednesday to set up Indias first Medical Cobotics Centre (MCC) at IIIT-Delhi.

Medical Cobotics Centre (MCC) will be a technology-enabled medical simulation and training facility for the young resident physicians. It will likewise function as a validation centre for the research outcomes in the location of health care robotics and digital health. The centre would assist in the training of other healthcare specialists, paramedical personnel, engineers, professionals, and scientists.
