While it doesnt support as many media types as Timeline JS, you might argue that the visual appeals of Canva timelines is better than those of Timeline JS. Timeline JS is my very first choice for making a timeline based on a book. Ive been using Timeline JS for almost a years to make timelines that consist of text, links, videos, and images. Timelines created with Timeline JS can have occasions separated by just a minute due to the fact that you can define the date and time of each occasion in the timeline.
