7 strategies to get teacher buy-in for new technology tools

Moms and dad engagement is a driving element behind any childs success in school– but a nationwide study of more than 1,000 teachers discovered that moms and dads are typically disengaged in their childs learning journey. Up up until a couple of years earlier, our districts main communication line with moms and dads was the standard “old-fashioned” format. We would send out many paper copies of details house with students in their book bags at the end of the week, and those same papers were coming back the following week due to the fact that moms and dads werent inspecting their kids backpacks regularly.

A drastic modification in our interaction efforts with moms and dads required to occur. After investigating numerous platforms to assist with parent-teacher engagement, I found ClassTag, a complimentary and easy interaction platform to deal with the issue of simplifying instructor and moms and dad discussions.

More than half of the teachers surveyed think parents do not comprehend the value of their involvement in their kids school experience, and they presume education is an instructors job– not a collective effort between teachers and moms and dads.

As the district technology integrationist in a rural Title 1 district, I continuously look for totally free and/or economical edtech resources that will bridge the interaction gap between parents and instructors. But those resources also need instructor buy-in.
