5 ways to boost student engagement with STEM learning strategies

As educators, we are always looking for ways for all students to attain success. Research has revealed us that trainees who are participated in discovering are most likely to be effective. So how do we know when trainees are genuinely engaged in learning? They are active participants– they listen and ask concerns, they are invested in and internalize what they are finding out, they make real-life connections, and they take pride in the work they produce.

2 years ago, my school, Dr. Rodriguez Elementary, kicked off a brand-new effort to create genuine knowing experiences for all trainees by infusing STEM knowing strategies into our curriculum. We thought this effort would increase trainee engagement and inspiration. While we have more work to achieve in this effort, to date we have been pleased with the results.

Here are five methods using technology the teachers in my school have actually carried out to create a learning environment that actively engages trainees and promotes more fun in knowing.

Take students on a Virtual Field Trip: All field trips were canceled this year due to the pandemic; however, with the assistance of Discovery Education we have actually been able to continue to expose our trainees to the world around them and you will not need approval slips!
