The COVID-19 pandemic has provided its fair share of obstacles. It has actually also brought many brand-new ideas to the table for the field of education.

Once every 9 weeks, Southaven Intermediate School hosts an Academic Celebration to recognize students accomplishments– this year, this event needed to be reinvented. Students were welcomed, but for safety standards we were closed to outside visitors. Trainees who are on the principals list, honor roll, or have raised their letter grades are still recognized in an assembly for their effort, but in such a way thats much safer for all involved.
