COVID-19 has represented a significant challenge for millions of Americans. Nevertheless, that does not indicate that some good will not come out of it, particularly as it connects to our students education. Over the past year, my company, the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE), has reacted, explored, and adapted to the truths of education in the time of COVID-19, in order to fulfill our objective of supplying economics classes and curriculum to high school instructors and trainees.

Our experience indicate three favorable trends COVID-19 has set in movement within the American education system: teachers will end up being more receptive to development, students will have the ability to access learning opportunities with fewer barriers than in the past, and educators will have more online tools to link with their trainees.

Its less specific which of the adaptations weve collectively made over the previous year will fade along with the virus, and which may represent a “new typical” that well take with us into the future. The American instructional system, having seen significant impacts to teachers, parents, and students as an outcome of the virus, is no different.

Each year, we share our 10 most-read stories. Not surprisingly, a lot of this years Top 10 concentrated on trainee engagement and online or hybrid knowing techniques connected to pandemic teaching. This years 8th most-read story concentrates on the unanticipated benefits COVID had on learning.
